Grant Writing Workshop for Canadian Artists Sept., 2020

Finding sources of grants and writing good applications are skills you can learn. Cambridge Art Galleries | Idea Exchange is pleased to partner with Inter Arts Matrix on this event. This workshop is for artists of all disciplines and small organizations of all kinds. You will learn: • how to plan a top-quality application • how to find suitable funders • assembling funding for a specific project The session will examine various sources of funding, including: • Canada Council for the Arts • Ontario Arts Council • Region of Waterloo Arts Fund • Foundation funding INSTRUCTOR: Isabella Stefanescu is a painter and interdisciplinary artist based in Waterloo Region, and the artistic director of Inter Arts Matrix. Since 1992, when she received her first Canada Council grant, Isabella Stefanescu has worked on projects funded by the City of Kitchener, Region of Waterloo Arts Fund, the Musagetes Fund, Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation, Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council, the Department of Canadian Heritage, Ontario Trillium Foundation, KW Awesome Foundation, and the Good Family Foundation. Isabella has sat on numerous juries and selection committees, including several at the Ontario Arts Council, and served on the board of the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund. www.interartsmatrix.ca
