The Houtua's theme might be the simplest one so far, or possibly the least versatile in its variations. It's not a bad thing at all however, since Hattori's sound for the Houtua is very unique compared to anything else from the score. It's a collection of vibraphones, soft percussive clacking, and other bells and whistles (pun intended) that convey the naturalist beliefs and grounded nature of the Houtua tribe, or just the general sounds used for Mothra in the franchise generally. Like I said, it isn't the most diverse theme in the anime trilogy's repertoire, but it is very befitting of the tribe in the films.
