This is panel of experienced Data Science professionals discussing all things related to data science research & industry, open-source, career in DS and privacy of ml models. • Join the panel discussion Zoom meeting here: https://delhi.pydata.org/live/panel • If you wanna ask questions post them here: https://delhi.pydata.org/live/qna The topics we will cover includes but are not limited to: how to make it in open-source as student/developer, non-portability of algorithmic fairness/unique challenges India faces in the portability of algorithm(development & deployment), the privacy of machine learning models, data protection law in India etc. Our panellists are Shagun Sodhai, Kritika Prakash and Jaidev Deshpande. • About Shagun Sodhani: Shagun is a research engineer at Facebook AI Research. His research interest is in lifelong reinforcement learning -- training AI systems that can interact with and learn from the physical world and consistently improve as they do so without forgetting the previous knowledge. ( / shagunsodhani ) • About Kritika Prakash: Kritika Prakash is a researcher at the Machine Learning Lab at IIIT Hyderabad and leads the Differential Privacy R&D Team at OpenMined. Her work is in the field of Computational Privacy for Artificial intelligence. ( / kritipraks ) • About Jaidev Deshpande: Jaidev is a senior data scientist at Gramener, where he works on products around automating data science. He's an active FOSS contributor and you're likely to run into him at tech events. ( / jaidevd ) PyData is an educational program of NumFOCUS, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the United States. PyData provides a forum for the international community of users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The global PyData network promotes discussion of best practices, new approaches, and emerging technologies for data management, processing, analytics, and visualization. PyData communities approach data science using many languages, including (but not limited to) Python, Julia, and R. PyData conferences aim to be accessible and community-driven, with novice to advanced level presentations. PyData tutorials and talks bring attendees the latest project features along with cutting-edge use cases. #PyDataDelhi2021 #PyData #DataScience #PanelDiscussion #FacebookAI #OpenMined #Gramener #Privacy #DataProtection #Research #opensource
