The probe alleges that Reliance Group officials, including former CFO Ashok Kumar Pal, knowingly used fraudulent endorsements and fake Structured Financial Messaging System (SFMS) confirmations from a bogus guarantee issued by Odisha-based Biswal Tradelink Private Limited for a Rs 1,000 crore solar tender. This caused SECI a loss exceeding Rs 100 crore, with the ED claiming it as part of a broader Rs 11,000 crore public fund diversion linked to Yes Bank irregularities. Three arrests have been made: Pal, Biswal Tradelink MD Partha Sarathi Biswal, and Kolkata consultant Amar Nath Dutta.
