A West Valley High School teacher is fighting to keep his job after he read the book "To Kill A Mockingbird" aloud to his students, including racial slurs as they appear in the original text. "You would never say this in a discriminatory way. But we have to confront the history. You are not above the history," said Matthew Mastronardi, a Spanish teacher at West Valley High School. In April, Mastronardi says one of his students brought up a question about the book during Spanish class.
