In recent years, I've purchased a few G-Shock and ProTrek watches which feature Casio's "Triple Sensor" (Thermometer, Barometer and Compass) and I've enjoyed using them. If you would like a watch which is a bit more budget-friendly, this "Twin Sensor" watch from Casio offers a compass and thermometer. The watch is available direct from Casio for about $70 but you could easily find it today for under $50 at Amazon.com. It's available in four distinct color combinations. This one is this video just happens to be the only one with a negative or "reverse LCD" screen. In addition to the compass and thermometer, this watch has a "World Time" mode, a one-hour stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer with an auto-repeat option, an hourly chime and five daily alarms, one of which is a snooze alarm. The case is water resistant to 200 Meters (20 Bar). My only complaint about this watch is that when you press the compass button, you only have about 10 seconds in which the watch will display the compass information and the temperature. Somehow, those ten seconds seem to expire very quickly. So, just press the button again and you'll get another 10 seconds. Also, if the watch hasn't been calibrated in the past 100 days it will prompt the user to reclaibrate. I suppose that won't be much of a hassle to those who regularly use the compass functions. The watch uses module 3157 (and the official manual is available for download from the Casio website). It will be accurate to plus-or-minus 20 seconds per month with its quartz movement. The watch has an electroluminescent backlight. It uses a CR2025 lithium battery which should offer about 3 years or service between battery changes.
