Dunkerswell FAW7th was the only airfield that was run by the US American Airforce operating in the UK at that time, the missions mainly used were to effect anti submarine search and destroy raids deep into the Atlantic. The film begins with discovering the airfield through a young boy collecting stuff he found on the airfield. Enough for a Museum and it is the opening of this museum that brings the recollections of veterans vividly alive taking us into the history of Dunkerswell. The music was delivered to us by the John Miller Band with the Kay Sisters in a T10 Hanger at a Dance 40's re-enaction, celebrating the opening of the Museum. Dunkerswell FAW7th was a wee film put together by Mike Drury with the help of Geoff Sherring and some friends on a very low budget to give the small museum on the Blackdown Hills the opportunity to earn a little cash for a sell through movie to explain what had happened at the Dunkerswell Airfield during the 2nd World War.
