This exciting plenary was the second session of the first in person meeting of the Centre of Excellence for Long-acting Therapeutics’ (CELT) Community of Practice for long-acting therapeutics for maternal and paediatric health. The Community of Practice is a groundbreaking international group of researchers, community groups and advocates, regulators, policy makers, legislators, health care providers and more, who are dedicated to creating a strong pathway for pregnancy, lactation and child safety within the new scope of long-acting research. The second session of the day concentrated on paediatric health. This is another underserved area of clinical research, but is key to international long-acting therapeutics research.
