In this PIATTO™ video recipe, we present: =========== Cleaning Mushrooms Before Cooking | Button (Champignon), Porcini, Chanterelle, Red Pine (Saffron Milk Cap) and More =========== In this PIATTO™ food prep video, you’ll learn how to clean mushrooms before cooking in just two easy steps! Cleaning mushrooms before cooking them is important because wild-foraged mushrooms can be very, very dirty. Even cultivated, store-bought mushrooms need to be cleaned. Not only can they be dirty, but they can also have pathogens coming from the compost they were grown in or processing equipment. You can apply the tips in this video to wash mushrooms of many different varieties including: button (also called champignon mushrooms or crimini), porcini, chanterelle, portobello, and even red pine (also known as saffron milk caps). Just remember: Washing mushrooms with water can change the taste and texture of mushrooms. Giving them a ‘shower’ (quick rinse or dunk) is ok, but a lengthy bath or soak is not recommended for mushrooms. We’ll explain why in the video. Want to eat raw mushrooms? Want REALLY clean mushrooms? We’ll show you the easiest way to remove even invisible pathogens from the outside of mushrooms. A great guide for mushroom beginners! #cookingtips #mushrooms INGREDIENTS Your pick, such as: button mushrooms (also called champignons or crimini) porcini mushrooms chanterelle mushrooms portobello mushrooms red pine (also known as saffron milk caps) =========== PRODUCTS USED IN THIS VIDEO =========== Affiliates links below: Coming soon… Or check out our store on Amazon: ► https://www.amazon.com/shop/piatto/ =========== FOLLOW US =========== Subscribe to PIATTO™ RECIPES (English-only) on YouTube: ► https://bit.ly/2MBaIMB Subscribe to PIATTO™ (Italian channel) on YouTube: ► / piatto Facebook: ► / piattorecipes Twitter: ► / piattorecipes Instagram: ► / piattoricette Pinterest: ► / piattorecipes =========== CREDITS =========== Marketing - Social Media - Branding: Kaniko Limited https://kanikogroup.com Production - Piatto LLC =========== DISCLAIMERS =========== This video was not paid for by outside persons or manufacturers.
