When a dark entity has latched onto his owner, Indy must do everything he can to protect Todd. Good Boy is a movie that makes you think about how fresh and unique it is. This interesting concept is so simple, yet so intricate. Unfortunately, the movie focused on providing the illusion of horror, using the Kuleshov Effect, that it failed to provide a rich story. While you can argue that the movie was scary and good. I beg to differ. The story didn't provide enough context for me to follow along. It made Indy a passive character, with no clear indication of how much in danger he actually was. And by the end, I was unsure whether the movie was about the premise I had read online. Overall, Good Boy had some cool concepts, interesting shots, and a unique spin on the horror genre. I love seeing the love and dedication to this craft. But, unfortunately, given all its flaws, it makes me feel like this movie was made as a concept movie to show studios, to make a fully fleshed out movie.
