Negative thoughts can take over your life... they can create anxiety and depression and often make you feel trapped inside your own head! 👤 We have thousands of thoughts a day and most of them are automatic, so it is impossible to control every single one of them... BUT we can begin to change the type of thoughts we have from negative thoughts to more positive thoughts! Our thoughts create our beliefs, and our beliefs create our reality! Beliefs are just thoughts we keep thinking, and so if we have lots of negative thoughts this will reflect into our reality, and so we can change this to create more of a positive life experience! Here I explain some easy tips on how to regain control over negative, unwanted thoughts! 💭❌ We have around 60,000 thoughts a day about 80% of those are negative and 95% of those are repeated thoughts from previous days so a lot of those thoughts are automatic, and you don't even remember having them. The ones that you do remember you are attaching strong emotions and feelings to, you're putting a lot of meaning behind those, so you are allowing and feeding into those negative thoughts and giving them power of you My first tip is to acknowledge the thought so instead of wondering why it's there try and understand how you have got to that negative, try and understand how you've got to that thought and then you will better be able to understand how to manage that thought you will let go of the attachment to it. When you let go to of the importance of it, once you actually understand how you have got to that place, you need to remember that it doesn't have power over you. You have power over your thoughts you can choose what you decide to attach feeling and meaning to My second tip is to stop judging the negative thoughts that pop into your mind. It can be easy when you have a thought that pops into your head to sit back and think oh my god why am I thinking that it must be a reason. If you sit back and let it go and let it be and just observe it as it is stop attaching meaning to it stop giving it a label of a good or a bad, by judging yourself you are resisting that thought and bringing more of it in towards you... My third tip that I would give to reduce your negative thoughts is to visualize what it would be like to not have negative thoughts anymore. What would it be like to be living your best life to stop having the anxiety around something? Allow yourself to turn them into positive thoughts and look at the good outlook on things, then you'll really start to see a change in the amount of negative thoughts you have in your mind. I guarantee once you do this then every week or so you'll notice an improvement until it just becomes a habit to whenever you have a negative thought pop into your head to stop resisting, stop judging, acknowledge it as it is, and then let it go and visualize the positives about the situation instead!
