THE PYRENEES – Solo Hiking Documentary (Spain & France) 12 days alone in the Pyrenees, through some of the most stunning valleys and peaks in the region. I learned to quiet the ego, move slower, and listen more to instinct than to pressure. Lesson learned! Highlights: magical wild camps, the sound of waterfalls echoing through valleys, mornings above the clouds, wild horses around my tent, and some views that brings feelings - no camera can truly capture. Fortune & luck: Day 3 - An attempt to climb the top of Vignemale, from the Spanish side, almost ended in tragedy. The plan was to spend the night in the cave near the summit. I got lost on Lady Lister, it got dark, I tried to navigate in the dark and didn't notice the steep slope from which I slipped. Luckily, I managed to grab and hold on a rock. I was also very lucky that I didn't suffer any serious injuries. Unfortunately, I couldn't climb back up and there was no way to get down either. I didn't have a GPS tracker (Garmin InReach) and there was no signal on my phone. Luckily, the emergency function on iPhone worked well. I was able to contact the Spanish rescue team. I spent the night on the slope. At around 7:30h in the morning, a rescue helicopter appeared and successfully lowered me to the valley. A huge thank you to the rescue team, without them there would be no me or the film. God bless them all! I will thank them every single day of my life. Day 9 – All day was cloudy with poor visibility. I left my camera at the Hourquette d’Alan mountain pass, and only realized it when I wanted to capture a beautiful wild goat standing above me, near Refuge de Tuquerouye. I had to rush back to the pass, leaving most of my gear hidden under rocks. When I reached Hourquette d’Alan, the camera was gone. Someone had taken it. My last hope was to return to Refuge des Espuguettes — which I did. After many hours of believing my main camera (with all the footage) was lost, I found it! It had been returned to the refuge staff by a mysterious man. I don’t know his name, but I will always be grateful. Without his help, this film would not exist. If he ever sees this — thank you! ⚠️ Damaged / Lost Gear Drone: DJI Air 2S (❌ gimbal damaged in fall on Lady Lister) Tripod: Sirui (❌ leg joint broken) Microphone mount (❌ snapped) 2 VND filters (main camera) – ❌ broken 1 VND filter (DJI Action 4) – ❌ broken iPhone camera glass protector – ❌ cracked Gas stove – ❌ broken Hiking stick – ❌ lost half, slipped down mountain Sunglasses – ❌ lost 1 pair of glasses (spare) – ❌ broken Hat – ❌ lost on the last day in Ordessa valley Timeline 00:00 – Intro 01:07 – Day 1: Easy start, camping spot & dinner with calming views | 5 km, 870 m 04:54 – Day 2: Peña Montañesa – Torla – Bujaruelo, camping by Refugio Ordiso | 12.5 km, 840 m 16:46 – Day 3: Cabaña de Cerbillonar, Corredor Moskowa, close to tragedy on Lady Lister, failed to reach Vignemale summit | 17 km, 1770 m 23:39 – Day 4: Replanning, Col des Mulets.
