My Generator Failed During a Bad Ice Storm. Bought a new Champion 4550W. 400k Without Power

A major Ice Storm hit with over 400,000 homes without hydro, and I was caught in it. I show live footage of the storm and trees breaking. My generator died the day after the storm, so I had to rush into the city to buy a new one. No generators were available in my area. I found a Champion 201070, 4550W / 3650W on sale and took it north, and did an unboxing at 4am and had the generator running. This is not a sponsored video. I also show a quick diagnosis and repair of my older ETQ generator. It ended up being the run capacitor; if I had a spare, I would not have needed to buy a new generator. The basement was filling with water, and the freezer and fridge were full of food. Once the champion generator was running, I had everything hooked up and alternated from the fridge to the freezer and had the sump pump on, plus running lights and chargers/power stations. A couple of days later, they had the power back on. We were lucky our power stayed on during the peak of the storm, then went out for about 5 days; others were out longer, up to a couple of weeks. We lost many trees and branches, some of the trees snapped off at the top, and others were uprooted or bent over. Most of are poplars, whispering/trembling aspens were damaged or destroyed. The ceders were damaged, mostly cracked in half, and there is a 50x50 feet pile of branches from the aftermath. I used the tractor to move most of them.
