It was too unfair to such a beautiful and touching song so I decided to take matters into my own hands and do something similar myself. And here it is (and on Instagram if it works out). When creating it, I used several Gåte's music videos, as well as documentaries about the Black Death, trying to fully convey the image that I see in my head while listening to this song. And of course, I used videos of the beautiful mountains and forests of Norway to complement the visuals and atmosphere. Gunnhild is presented here in two images: in the form of a narrator who tells us this story while singing it, and in the form of death itself ("Ein vandrar i svart"/"A wanderer in black") who "Susar når dagen er omme for alle dei einsame stumme" (goes away when her deed is done leaving all the lonely and mute people behind). But she's not someone evil and indifferent, and even though it's just her routine job, she cares about these people and sympathizes with them (at least in my interpretation of this story). It took a lot of time and efforts to bring this idea to life, so I will appreciate any form of support or any feedback you can give! But it's vital to say that I didn't make it for fame or something like that but only because this beautiful song really deserves a proper music video. And I definitely can't help but express my gratitude to Gåte for this song (I hope that the band members will see this video one way or another but it's ok if they won't, so it will be just for us, devoted fans).
