Delhi-Meerut RRTS trains: India’s 1st Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), also called RAPIDX, is all set to be operational soon with a 17-km priority section between Duhai and Sahibabad. RRTS trains have a design speed of 180 kmph and a maximum operational speed of 160 kmph, making them the fastest regional trains in India. At present, Indian Railways’ Vande Bharat Express is the long distance train that attains 160 kmph speeds on some routes.
