Marella Discovery Caribbean Cruise | Valentines Day on Board | Bonaire | Day 6 Exotic Islands 2025

Hi everyone, In this week's Marella Discovery Exotic Islands Caribbean cruise series we arrive in beautiful #bonaire . We didn't have an excursion booked for this day and the all aboard time was 12:30pm so this was only a short stop. We started with a quick bacon butty and cup of tea in the Snack Shack (our favourite) before getting off the ship to have an explore around Kralendijk. We loved seeing all the colourful buildings and street art and it felt like a fun safe place to walk around by ourselves. We had a look in some of the shops and markets before going towards the seafront where we found a lovely bar. We had an Amstel Light and appreciated the lovely views from here, it was a beautiful day. We walked along the front looking out to the ocean, the water was just so clear and a stunning colour! After a couple of hours we decided it was time to get back on the ship. We received our documents that advise about leaving the ship that made us sad but we brushed that off and got ready for a fantastic Valentine’s Day celebration. Along with the decorations on the ship we decided to bring our own and decorated our cabin too! There was a sail away party this day which was a lot of fun with great music, live performances and game shows. We even had rave on the waves which really took us back to Electric Sunsets. The ravers, the wavers! Haha we had been saying this all cruise so it made us laugh when it happened! We stayed out for a bit in the very gusty weather and then after a few drinks got ready for the evening. We decided to have our evening meal at Gallery 47 and had a much better experience. We had a table for 4 for the 2 of us, service was quick and attentive and the food was excellent! This was by far our favourite meal on the ship! We then headed to the Broadway Show Lounge to watch Diva. This was fantastic! If this is in when you are on board we can’t recommend it enough it was amazing and really showcased all the casts talents! Loved it! We then went to the Squid and Anchor to watch Love and Marriage game show followed by Boom Boom Boom Bingo! Lots of fun was had and we even won some flip flops! We loved this evenings entertainment we had such a fun time. We had a slight interval and went back to the cabin and found a towel heart along with a note from our stewards. We can’t thank them enough for amazing service and such friendly interactions every time we saw them! After this we went to the Live Rooms to see Diva After party. I think we missed this as The Collective were playing but we loved it all the same! We then went to Bar Eleven for some drinks and a dance. We had late night food at the glass house as is customary for us! We then went for more dancing and drinks at Bar Eleven before calling it a night at 2am! We didn’t realise the time!
