Found another gem in Myoko! Woke up to a beautiful sunrise and got to it! Took a shuttle to Tangram & Madarao Ski Resort. This was a lot bigger and commercial, they had a huge base area with shopping, lodging, food and beverage. It was the real deal. It is 2 resorts connected more or less. Kind of like Canyons and Park City, Whistler and Blackcomb idea. We skied Tangram out pretty quick, it would be epic on a powder day, as I always say. Toured all over, loved riding the single chair lift, although it slammed Jesse's leg and luckily his phone broke the impact but also cracked his screen. Madarao was the bigger side of the resort with great tree skiing and a lot of fun natural halfpipe area. Beautiful views down into the Japan Sea and the entire valley. It got really warm and we got skied out and worn out! Spent the whole day 9-4 there. The atrium with their big cafeteria/buffet was the best! They have an automatic beer dispenser, so crazy. I got katsu and rice with miso soup. I had to get the blueberry ice cream and let me tell you right now, best food of the entire trip. The blueberry ice cream was so fresh with little smooth blueberry chunks. I will return for that. Came home and hopped in the Onsen, did a little shopping, then went and ate at the kebab shop. Both got chilli cheese dogs, then crepes, met this cute Japanese family, the 14 year old daughter and 6 year old daughter were way good snowboarders competing at Sugi and she won! So cool to connect with them. .
