Trains In Snow Emergency! Trains Pass In Front Of Row Houses In A Snow Fall. One Locomotive Pulls A Mile Of Freight Cars. Night Train In Snow & Driving Home In A Big Snow Fall. Fire Trucks Looking For Car Wreck At Bottom Of Big Hill. Norfolk Southern & CSX Trains In Ohio On Toledo Sub. This was a record breaking snow fall for this part of Ohio so I decided to film trains in Hamilton, Ohio in the snow. Hamilton got about ten or eleven inches of snow before I got there and it got a few more inches of snow while I was there. Check out these awesome trains going through the snow. The last train is at a railroad crossing at night with snow coming down. That is the one! I also show the Hamilton Depot again for those who missed it. This is Part 2 for the video I posted about a week ago. The first train is at Heaton Street and is a CSX intermodal. Check out the view that the homes have of the trains. That view can't be beat! This is the CSX Toledo Sub but Norfolk Southern also shares it. Right after I filmed that train the Hamilton Fire Department got an EMS run and we see the ambulance crossing the tracks next to the abandoned paper mills. Next I move over to East Ave in Hamilton. I have only filmed at this crossing a few times. Check out the awesome view of the CSX intermodal train coming around the curve and then hitting the crossing. This is actually the Norfolk Southern New Castle Sub. This CSX train had just left CSX tracks and entered this line which is predominantly a southbound running track. This part of the video was filmed in 4K. The rest of the video is in 1080p. We take a short look at an old freight depot that is difficult to film due to a wall. Not many people realise this structure is here due to the wall. Next, we go to Butler Street to catch a Norfolk Southern southbound intermodal train. This train is leaving the CSX track and entering the Norfolk Southern New Castle Sub that I just showed. It is going around the same curve that you just saw the CSX train going around. Pretty cool isn't it. Notice that only one locomotive is pulling this long train in the snow. This train was filmed with my new camera. Then we get to see what the roads looked like on my way home. First we are on Interstate 75 and we see a semi truck that lost control and got stuck in the median. Then we see what Rt 32 looks like. I am going down the long, steep hill that drops into Batavia, Ohio. The Batavia Fire Department and a few other departments were dispatched to a report of a plane wreck by the road. There is a small airport near the top of the hill but I have no idea how anyone would think a plane was flying in this. The fire trucks were looking for the plane when the dispatcher notified them that there was a car wrecked and sitting on the ledge of something. This call was one and the same but it turned out to be false. Some of the emergency vehicles were parked at the base of the hill trying to figure out what was going on. I also show what my road looked like during the storm. My road never gets salted but they did start plowing snow from the road about fifteen years or so ago. I drove sixty something miles in the snow and then started making Part 1 for this video. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet!! It shows a Heritage Unit or two and more trains in the snow!!
