Lesson 1 D: Pam’s Chapter: Lenore’s Showdown with the Sheriff Host: Celeste Davidson Featuring: ✦ Melany Nitzsche ✦ Stacey Campbell ✦ Pamela Raleigh ✦ Alex Vuileumier In this episode, Bardsy host Celeste Davidson leads a live critique session on member Pamela Raleigh’s chapter, showing writers how to strengthen character motivation, deepen emotional resonance, and revise for authenticity. About Pamela’s Current Work-in-Progress Lenora in Linville features ninety-five-year old Lenora, a successful teamaker, now enjoying retirement. When she agrees to participate in a television story showcasing her company, Lensie's, she returns to the small town of Stoney Gap, situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where she and her sister-in-law first started their business seventy-five years ago. But Lenora has been harboring a secret. In 1952 she made a lethal tea blend that accidentally killed her husband and brother-in-law. No one ever found out. Popular moonshiners at the time, the brothers were assumed to have died by improperly distilling their own moonshine. Lenora never confessed the truth. Now, surrounded by the past, her secret spills out and Lenora must handle the consequences. She fears her family will abandon her and Lensie's will collapse. She must find a way to save herself, her family, and the business she worked so hard to create.
