Batata Poha Recipe l Kanda Poha l Goan Batat Fov l Poha Recipe l @GoanSpiceHouse #goanrecipe #poha #recipe #vegetarian #diwalispecialrecipes #batatapoha INGREDIENTS: Fov/poha/ flatted rice flakes – 1 ½ cup (cleaned, thoroughly washed, and drained all water) Oil – 4 tbsp Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp Cumin seeds – ½ tsp Chopped green chilli – 1 Curry leaves Fresh coriander leaves Chopped onion – 1 medium size Boiled potatoes (peeled skin & cut into cubes) – 2 medium sizes Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp Salt to taste METHOD/PREPARATION Step 1: Thoroughly wash Fov/Rice Flatted 2 to 3 times in water. Soak in water for some time, drain all water, and keep it aside. Step 2: In a kadai, add oil. Once’s oil heats. Add mustard seeds once it starts popping up. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chili, fresh coriander leaves and saute for some time on low flame. Add onion and saute till it is translucent. add boiled potatoes and stir for some time on low flame. Now add turmeric powder and salt to taste, and mix it well on low to medium flame. Add fov/ flatted rice flakes and chopped fresh coriander leaves, and mix it well on low flame. Switch off the gas & enjoy delicious Batat Fov with hot tea.
