There, they learn how Wakasa-nuri, a special type of lacquered chopsticks are made, and get hands-on with the chopstick-making process. Then, Shizuka and Leina see how heshiko (a type of preserved fish) is made by first pickling it in salt and then again in rice bran (called “nuka”). Lastly, they taste the finished product at a famous inn in Obama City called Minshuku Sasuke.
