Dipper project Part 4 13th February 2023

Welcome to part 4 of my Dipper project. My grandmother had a favourite saying which she regularly repeated to me....... If at first you don’t succeed try, try and try again. This was something I easily dismissed when I was younger. However, as the years have passed by I can see that actually it was very sound advice. No more so than with my wildlife photography. Sometimes I can be lucky (if you want one of my saying’s...... “You make your own luck”) and I come home with a memory card full of images. More often than not though, my intended subjects simply don’t appear. This is where patience and tenacity comes in. I try, try and try again and eventually I will succeed and should I not then it won’t be due to lack of effort. In the previous three episodes I only managed brief sightings of the dippers. As you will see here on my fourth outing I had significantly more success not only with photographing dippers but also capturing some nice grey wagtail images. I hope you enjoy this episode.
