Let me take you on a ride around the interior of Sharjah. We start at Dubai, riding out to the Al Awir plane crash site, then on to the impressive Sharjah mosque. Then cross some minor roads, before getting back on the main Maliha Road to the Meleha desert protected area, where the desert meets the mountains. A stop for a drink of water (It is March, but the temperature in the central region was still 42degC. Make sure you take water to keep hydrated) and a photo or two. Then onwards to Mleiha past the Jebel Buhais Geology Centre (link), the nearby Iron age fort (link) and the Mleiha Archeology Centre. Riding along the Al Dhaid maliha Road, after 25minutes or so, we reach the village of Al Madam, where the nearby Ghost Village may be explored. Finally a return to Dubai along the wide open main roads, finishing at Dubai Marina mall for a well earned cup of coffee, making a round trip of about three and a half hours (without stops to explore). Let make a start and I shall highlight some of the areas along the way. I travel about Dubai, UAE (United Arab Emirates), visiting adventure locations, oasis, wadis, desert, mountains, fountains,, forts, museums, art events, geology and archeology sites, exploring the history and culture of this amazing country. I hope you enjoy visiting RocDoc Revived. Please subscribe so that you get notified when there are more videos to watch. I plan to upload new videos every week (or more frequently if I have material). Logo & Name. The RocDoc Revived logo is a motorcycle/motorbike helmet, resting on a geological hammer and surmounted by a GoPro camera. RocDoc is an informal name for a geologist which is what I am. Why Revived? Because I have upped stakes and moved from UK to Dubai; recovered from Covid and enjoy riding my motorcycle/motorbike on these amazing wide open roads.
