Trying Kristang Food + Interview with a Kristang in Portuguese Settlement in Melaka, Malaysia

We visit Little Portugal (Portuguese Settlement or Kampung Portuguese) in Ujong Pasir, Melaka (Malacca), Malaysia! This is where the Kristang people live! Kristang people is an ethnic group of people of mixed Portuguese and Malay descent found in Malaysia and Singapore. They are also called Portugese-Eurasian. This group has a very unique culture, traditions, food, and even language. They speak Kristang language (Old Portuguese language with a mix of Malay). During our visit, we went to the Portuguese Square and tried some Portuguese Food or more approximately called, Kristang food which includes Portuguese baked fish, curry debal (devil's curry) , and fried brinjal (eggplants). Check out our vlog trying some Kristang food, and interviewing Philomena, a Kristang lady who has done a lot to preserve the Kristang culture.
