Arriving Into Kurdistan In Style!

We've arrived in Iraqi Kurdistan in true style! We took a minivan from Baghdad to Slemani and then jumped straight into a taxi headed to our "luxury" accommodation. So it turned out we were visiting Slemani over the holidays and every hotel was either sold out or super expensive. All hope was lost until I contacted Shah from the dolphin hostel and asked if we could stay with him, he told us if we got ourselves a tent we could camp on the hotel rooftop so that is exactly what we bloody did! In the evening we headed back out onto the streets of Sulaymaniyah in search of some local street food, we ended up eating a pretty good chickpea soup as well as some more shawarma sandwiches. Massive thanks to Shah for giving us the best camping experience of our lives ahah, top man. Very much looking forward to this trip through Iraqi Kurdistan. Subtitles Available!
