📍 Episode 5 – Chitral to Gilgit via Shandur Pass Series Welcome to the 5th episode of my longest ever Northern Pakistan travel series. Over the next few videos, I’ll be taking you along on an 18-day journey where I covered around 3,000 kilometers across some of the most stunning parts of Pakistan. We embarked on an epic journey, crossing iconic mountain passes like Shandur Pass, famous for its polo festival, and Lowari Pass via the Lowari Tunnel. We explored the breathtaking Phander Valley, visited Gilgit, and Hunza. From there, we traveled along the scenic Gilgit-Skardu Road, spent a night at Deosai, the world's second-highest plateau, known as the 'Land of Giants. We also explored Shiger, Katpana, and the stunning Sarfranga Cold Desert in Skardu. Finally, we flew back to Lahore on a PIA flight from Skardu. The long-awaited journey from Chitral to Gilgit via the legendary Shandur Pass finally begins in this episode! We kick off our adventure by traveling through the rugged terrain of Upper Chitral, and making our way toward the stunning Qaqlasht Meadows Booni. In this episode, we’ll reach Qaqlasht, but the full exploration of the meadows will take place in the next episode, just before we continue our route toward Mastuj. Expect raw landscapes, rough roads, and wild mountain beauty as we dive deeper into this breathtaking region of Pakistan.
