Tonight I am at Nom Wah Tea Parlor, which was the first restaurant serving dim sum in New York City -- and has been open since 1920. This Chinatown NYC hidden away game's secret is out, especially since The Amazong Spider-Man 2 filmed inside the restaurant. There is usually a line outside with a wait of 30 minutes or more. Luckily -- we arrived on a Sunday evening and got a table immediately. I ordered a pot of bitter Chinese tea, a plate of veggies, vegetable dumpling dim sum, sesame balls, and an almond cookie. Each dish came out freshly made and delicious. I was especially impressed how the veggies were made, blanched just right and not oily at all. We left there full. Our bill was $25 plus tip.
