On December 8, 2021, the Regional Educational Laboratory West, along with colleagues at the Region 15 Comprehensive Center and the Arizona Department of Education, offered a training to English learner coordinators from across Arizona to learn about the newly developed guide, Supporting Integrated English Learner Student Instruction: A Guide to Assess Professional Learning Needs based on the What Works Clearinghouse practice guide, Teaching Academic Content and Literacy to English Learners in Elementary and Middle School. This video from the training provides information about the practice guide and its recommendations, and an overview of the professional learning guide tools, templates, and discussion protocols. This recording was prepared for the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) under Contract ED-IES-17-C-0012 by Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) West at WestEd. The content of the publication does not necessarily reflect the views or policies of IES or the U.S. Department of Education, nor does mention of trade names, commercial products, or organizations imply endorsement by the U.S. Government.
