Fremantle Port Authority closes PSP - fails to tell anyone

I get that roads need to be closed from time to time - that's not the issue. The issue is the lack of clear communication to road (or PSP) users that Peter Hughes Drive is closed for an unknown period of time and cyclists need to take a detour. Except there are no maps showing the detour cyclists are supposed to take, or any signage anywhere pointing out possible detour routes (like crossing the tracks at the train station). They've put up 8 words on their website to announce this closure - that's it. I don't care why the road is closed - but I would like an idea of when it will re-open (if ever) and where we're supposed to go in the meantime. It would also be nice if the Port Authority could tell Main Roads (so they could update their Travel website) and the likes of Google Maps and Apple Maps so that drivers don't try to turn into Peter Hughes Drive from Beach St. You can probably see the closure from the Port Authority offices - I'm amazed no one in that building has had the drive and common sense to do something about fixing the lack of communication with the travelling public.
