Made with Suno (4.5) Final reupload of the day concerning the first end game villain of my lore growing up; Guthrek, head of the cult under the same name. Said to be responsible for the desiccated condition of the proto-human Ghoul race, Guthrek would wipe out his empire and the regions around his continent, subjecting the remainder of his people into his cult. From then on, he would spend eons coming up with the ultimate plan to not only awaken the Sleeping Void but find a way to merge his consciousness with the entity, thereby controlling its sleeping cycle with his sentience. In this song, Guthrek finally shows himself for the first time, indicating that he has found a way to begin this goal. In the archive temple of Arkhael (the entity's influence resulting into how Guthrek became the way he is, but not worshiping it himself), Guthrek would begin a ritual of pulling a nearby wandering black hole (a mouth of the Sleeper) into devouring the ancient earth Eres, while Salarien and Graziel are unable to prevent it. This would be during the era before the current one. Out of the Guthrek songs made, this has become my favorite as it personifies his character very well. [Verse I — Arrival in the Archive] I walk where silence swallowed kings, Where dust recalls forgotten things. This temple, carved in Arkhael’s breath, Still hums the hymns of void and death. And you—two sparks in mortal guise, With trembling hands and widened eyes— Have wandered far to die as one Before my work is wholly done. [Pre-Chorus I] Do not resist. Do not deny. Your wills collapse As orbits die. [Chorus] Be still, my children—let the void draw near. Let gravity’s sermon devour your fear. The starless choir gathers, the dark begins to sing— And I shall free this dying world From every living thing. [Verse II — Paralysis of the Two] Salarien stiffens—ashen, pale, His spirit caught within my veil. The mage, once sharp, now mute with fright, His future threads erased from sight. Two souls, two breaths, two fragile sparks— Now bound in place by unseen marks. Your strength is naught, your motion mine, As darkness claims the faultless shrine. [Pre-Chorus II] Your strength is dust. Your breath—ignored. You kneel before The hungering lord. [Chorus] Be still, my children—let the void draw near. Let gravity’s sermon devour your fear. The starless choir gathers, the dark begins to sing— And I shall free this dying world From every living thing. [Bridge — The Ritual Begins] Hear the engines of collapse… Hear the cosmos hold its breath… A wandering singularity Awaits my whispered death. I carve the glyphs in shifting air, Old Arkhael’s mark, the eater’s prayer— Dimensions twist beneath my hand, The mountains quake to understand. Behold the sky— It folds. It breaks. The orbit bends. The horizon wakes. [Verse III — The Moment of Doom] Now shadows spill across the stars, A spiral mouth of endless scars. This world, forgotten, frail, obscene, Shall vanish, scrubbed from cosmic screens. And you shall watch, entranced, unable— Weak flames that flicker before the table Where I, the herald, carve decree That nothing is your destiny. [Final Chorus — As Guthrek Leaves] Be still, my children—let the void draw near. Let gravity’s sermon devour your fear. The starless choir gathers, the dark begins to sing— Embrace annihilation— Let the darkness be your king. [Outro — Exit of the Devourer] The ritual sealed… the planet doomed… I leave you trembling in the room. Run if you wish—your breath remains A fleeting spark in dying veins. Flee to the stars, little flames of the dawn; But I am the shadow You cannot outrun.
