There's not too many things that connect the police with surfers - not with a happy ending at least. But for Giada Legati, the Polizia - aka the Italian police - are a source of support in her bid to compete in the Olympics. She's hoping to represent Italy in surfing and the fuzz are doing their bit to help her reach her goal. 19 year old Giada grew up in Bali and completed her final two years of schooling from home so she could optimize her time - surfing when the waves were good and chasing QS points overseas. She's going to give competitive surfing a good crack over the next few years but is also interested in doing some commentating at surfing events.
