After force landing in a field near Eastbourne in September 1940, this aircraft toured the United States before ending up in a bleak Canadian Scrapyard. It was saved in the nick of time from under several wrecked cars by a private British historian who then paid for it to return to the UK, where again it was 'lost' for over 30 years.
