Disability is a part of life and will affect everyone at some point. It is all of our responsibility to make the world more accessible for everyone. Join Matt McCann disabled entrepreneur and activist as he shares his story and goal in making the world more accessible for all. A subtitled/captioned version of this talk will be provided in line with TED/TEDx guidelines. [Video Description: Matt McCann is a visibly disabled, white male with shoulder length brown hair. He is wearing a cream blazer, a dark green t-shirt and navy jeans. He is standing on a red dot using his walking frame for support. TEDx Dún Laoghaire is in large red letters behind him with a powerpoint slide that says “Ethics and Ethos: The What & Why of Everything”] Matt lives his life with Cerebral Palsy and has always been determined to improve the world around him through his skills and experiences. Through his vision, Matt has secured awards and recognition for Access Earth. From Access Earth being awarded as an Innovative Practice at the UN Zero Project to being named the Irish independents 30 under 30 for 2018. In late 2018 Matt secured Enterprise Ireland CSF funding for Access Earth and began growing his team to bring Access Earth into its next exciting stage of development. His talk takes us into his world and where his desire to contribute has taken him with Access Earth. Matt has a background in Computer Science which has enabled him to build a strong technical foundation for Access Earth to succeed.
