Cambridge is home to one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world, the University of Cambridge. The city has lots of historic colleges, the river cam, King’s College Chapel, the Bridge of Sighs and bustling streets filled with locals, students and tourists from all over the world. Did you know the city is also known as 'Silicon Fen’ which is due to its thriving tech industry. It took me around an hour and a half to reach, which isn't bad' cause I picked a beautiful sunny day to visit. It's around 24° today (Friday 16th August, 2024) The car park is a short walk from the city centre. And as we walk down the path, our first stop is the University Library. Founded in 1209, this prestigious university has educated some of the greatest minds in history, like Sir Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking, Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr Manmohan Singh, Alan Turing, Charles Darwin, Sarojini Naidu, Rajiv Gandhi, to name a few. Cambridge is more than just a place of learning. It's a vibrant city where tradition meets modernity. Whether you're exploring the historic market square, enjoying Punting on the River Cam, or soaking in the lively atmosphere of the local pubs and cafes, there's something for everyone here. Whether you're here to study, work, or simply explore, Cambridge offers an experience unlike any other. It's a place where history meets the pulse of today. I really hope you enjoy sightseeing with me. Please Like and Subscribe. It means a lot! Thank you! (Published on - 26.8.2024)
