🎨 In this video, I’m finishing a small personal project that started a couple of winters ago. Back then, I drew Kira's nose (our big dog) on black paper and framed it, planning to make a matching piece for Nuca, our sausage dog. This time, I’m finally completing the set by drawing Nuca’s nose, using white & black pencils and a bit of old crusty gouache on black paper. I talk through my approach to realistic drawing on dark paper, working in layers, building highlights first, lifting pigment with an eraser, and using subtle shadows to create depth. You’ll see how I combine white pencil, black pencil, and small gouache accents to get a more three-dimensional result.
