Chocolate Turtle Cake 1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix 2/3 cup evaporated milk, divided 3/4 cup butter, melted 2 (11 oz) packages Kraft Caramel Bits 1 cup pecan pieces 2 cups chocolate chips 1-2 tubs of chocolate frosting, optional Preheat oven to 350°. Mix the cake according to the directions on the box. Add in 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk and the melted butter. Pour half of the batter in a greased 9” x 13” cake pan. Bake for 15 minutes. While the bottom of the cake is baking, place Caramel Bits and the other 1/3 cup of evaporated milk in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 45 second intervals until the caramel bits are melted and smooth. When the bottom of the cake is done, remove from the oven and pour the melted caramel bits over the cake. Sprinkle the nuts over the caramel. Then sprinkle the chocolate chips over the nuts. Pour the rest of the cake batter over the top and bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes or just until the center is done and springs back to a light touch. Cool completely.
