Fishing, bushwacking, river fording, scrambling and no other people - the perfect recipe for an adventure! Gear: https://www.gearchecker.io/gearlist/l... In August, two friends and I travelled to Lomsdal-Visten National Park for 15 days. There was supposed to be one more, but unfortunately he got sick and couldn't come with us. The trip was fantastic! The national park is incredibly beautiful and we met no other people. We started in Tosbotn and ended in Storbørja. The plan was to take a longer route, but the weather wasn't in our favour, so we decided to relax and fish along the way instead :)I chose some slightly different routes that I haven't seen others take. We went up to Geehpjaevrie, for example, where the views were outstanding. However, the climb was quite steep and we had to use our hands in some places. We also took a shortcut down by Blankvatnet as the weather forecast was bad. The route looked steep on the map, and it was, but with full zoom on the Norgeskart app we found a safe way down. It wasn't as bad as expected. We walked along the south side of Sæterdalen, an area that felt completely untouched by people. The terrain was challenging at times, but passable. We then walked briefly in the lake: Lakselvvatnet, but you can easily stay higher up in the terrain. We crossed Lakselva at the outlet to Lakselvvatnet, the ford was about 60 metres long. The ford was tricky at times, but the water level allowed us to support ourselves on some of the stones in the river with our hands. We crossed the river because we hoped it would make our journey easier as there is a path on the other side of the river in Børjedalen. That day we walked all the way to the cabin at Tøymvatnet as we couldn't find a good camping spot. It rained heavily the whole way and we got soaked to the bone.On the last day we did some fishing in the sea while we waited to be picked up. We were taken out by Velfjordskyss - great service!
