Because salt reduces the foaming action of cold process soap we need to use a high coconut oil recipe, so we will be using a higher than normal percentage of superfat to give us a soap that feels lovely on the skin. There are many types of salt that you can use but most people use either sea salt or Himalayan salt which often gives a more pink colour to the bar.
