Here is the story about this build and why it looked so perfect, but how it turned into a nightmare!! I purchased this car from ebay, from a seller in PA, It was listed as restored, all the pictures looked great, as you can see it looked really good and the VIN of this car was a 1 out of 1 car with all the options that it had. I did some research and decided to go ahead and buy it without seeing it, trusting the seller. When the car arrived i was really excited, but as i started going through all of the things i realized what a huge mistake i have made. The seller said it was fully restored with all new parts, blah blah blah... The engine was used and was leaking coolant, radiator had some rust and leaking, suspension was used and painted to look good, the rear end was out of a 1965-66 mustang which is narrower, the manual transmission want shifting good and the clutch pedal felt like it was going to fall off. After washing the car i noticed that the whole carpet in the front seats was soaks, those who know mustangs know that cowl vents on these things rust out almost all the time. So to me it seems like the whole body was prepped and painted and looked like the body was nicely restored and some panels were repaired with new panels, but the cowl vent area was just junk and rusted through. I tried to get a hold of the seller, i tried seeing what options i had legally and what ebay can do about it, well there was not much i could do from CA to a seller in PA unless i fly there and file a claim against him in court. After getting over of being upset and angry i went and decided to strip her down, sell everything that i could on craigslist as used items, people have bought everything i was selling, but i still ended up for a $15,000 bare shell that still needed some work. And this is when i decided to go all out and try to make this the best mustang build i possibly could at the time. After it was finished i had a buyer from Georgia come fly into and bought the car and took it in to add to his collection. This was my 3rd mustang i have built and now i have another mustang in the garage, but to get to that project i really need to step it up and clean up the garage and make my garage great again, its been way to long!!!! its time to Rise and rebuild!!!
