I found this beautiful vintage loveseat on Facebook Marketplace sitting in the back of an old barn waiting to be thrown out if somebody didn't come and save her. So off I went to scoop her up, I had the perfect idea in mind which included this gorgeous decoupage paper I had. First I gave her a very good cleaning. I also had a repair to one of her arms. I painted the back where I'm going to apply my decoupage paper white in Amy Howard's all-in-one chalk paint. I always use a light color to apply my decoupage paper to. if you use a dark color it will come through the paper. After that was dry I applied my decoupage paper. I like to apply my decoupage paper with a mixture of fabric and regular Modge Podge mixed together. I watered down the fabric modge podge to a thick pancake batter consistency and then add regular Modge Podge to equal the amount I'm going to need to apply the paper. after I am done I give a final coat of this mixture to the front of the decoupage paper. I used a combination of chalk paint and acrylic paints to paint out this decoupage paper across the rest of the couch to give it a seamless look. I used Dixie Belle chalk paint in caviar to paint the entire piece black and died the fabric
