2015 Preston 2nd Div Singles Final: P.Adamson v O.Garmston

Every year Preston Table Tennis Association runs a divisional singles competition for each division in our league. Only players who play in that division can enter. Oliver plays for Riverside F - one of the biggest clubs in our Association. Oliver's league record going in to this competition was played 42, won 30 - a win ratio of 71.43% and is ranked No.3 for this competition. Oliver has been playing for approximately 3.5 yrs and represents Preston in the North West Junior League. Peter plays for Ashton MC and has played for both their B and C teams this season. Peter went in to this competition as the number 1 seed. Peter only returned to playing table tennis this season after a long absence and his results have continued to improve as the season has progressed. Peter has played 27 games for Ashton MC C Team and has won 23 of them - a win ratio of 85.19%. Peter and Oliver played each other in a league match just a few days before this competition with Peter running out the winner 11-1 11-8 11-5. Would the result be the same again? We used celluloid balls for this competition. This event took place at our Table Tennis Centre, St Augustines, Preston, England. Our Table Tennis Centre is co-owned by Preston Borough Council and Cardinal Newman College and we hire the hall from them.
