Today we set foot on a new stretch of our adventure along the unnavigable sections of the Montgomery canal. We cant take the boat down into this beautiful area of North Wales, but we still want to see it and document this stunning canal, for all to see how truly breathtaking it is, as no one has filmed this section before. Today we begin our walk at the very start of the 12-mile navigable isolated section at Arddleen where we head down the curvy cutting of the canal towards Welshpool passing through trees, under bridges, explore nature reserves, see canalside cottages, fully working and restored locks and finally explore Buttington wharf limekilns where we end day 2.
