Volkswagen is set to elevate the excitement of its iconic hot hatch with the introduction of the new GTI Clubsport. Based on the facelifted GTI, the GTI Clubsport inherits updated lights from Wolfsburg’s regular Grand Touring Injection. This more potent variant features a redesigned front bumper, a robust rear spoiler, and larger Quadrifoglio-inspired 18-inch wheels, with an optional 19-inch set available. The power gap between the standard GTI and the Clubsport has narrowed with the launch of the Mk8.5 models. The standard GTI now boasts an additional 20 horsepower, bringing its total to 261 horsepower, while the Clubsport maintains its impressive 296 horsepower. Despite the closer power figures, the Clubsport still enjoys a 35-horsepower advantage, along with an extra 22 pound-feet of torque, totaling 295 pound-feet. Similar to its predecessor, the updated Golf GTI Clubsport is equipped exclusively with a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. The standard GTI now also features the same dual-clutch transmission, as Volkswagen has phased out the manual gearbox with this mid-cycle update. Notably, the Clubsport was previously available with a manual transmission during the Mk7 generation. The standard GTI accelerates from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 5.9 seconds, while the GTI Clubsport achieves the same in 5.6 seconds. Both models are electronically limited to a top speed of 155 miles per hour, but the Clubsport offers an optional Race Package that increases the limit to 167 miles per hour. This package also includes a more robust Akrapovič exhaust system. Additionally, the Clubsport features larger brakes and a special mode within the Sport driving profile for enhanced performance. Both models come standard with a limited-slip differential and progressive steering, and offer optional adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). Inside, the GTI and Clubsport share an upgraded 12.9-inch touchscreen for the improved infotainment system, which now includes illuminated touch sliders. Furthermore, Volkswagen has replaced the capacitive touch keys on the steering wheel with conventional buttons. The new GTI Clubsport will make its public debut this week at the Nürburgring 24 Hours before going on sale in Europe later this year. Unfortunately, a Volkswagen spokesperson confirmed that, like its predecessor, the new Clubsport will not be available in the United States. #2025VolkswagenGolfGTI #GTIClubsport #VolkswagenPerformance Get More Great Car Videos - Subscribe: https://goo.gl/BSIaFc
