Despite numerous regional and international mediation efforts, entrenched positions among the warring parties and unaligned diplomatic tracks have prevented even a basic ceasefire to enable humanitarian access. This panel examines the prospects for coordinated diplomacy by exploring the tools, leverage points, and constraints shaping current efforts to halt the conflict. It will assess the challenges facing international and regional institutions, as well as the complexities of preparing for stabilization and governance once a ceasefire becomes possible. The discussion will focus on how to align external pressure, regional interests, and domestic dynamics to prevent further fragmentation and chart a path toward a sustainable political settlement.
