Thanks For Educating Me About Palestine, But...

Every time someone says, “Go and educate yourself about Palestine,” it’s supposed to sound like wisdom—but it often feels like a command. In this video, I explore the culture of performative education surrounding the Israel-Palestine conflict, where people mistake indoctrination for awareness and moral superiority for empathy. From viral influencers to self-proclaimed experts, everyone suddenly wants to teach—but not everyone actually wants you to think. I’ve been following this issue for years, from the McMahon-Hussein correspondence to the Balfour Declaration, from Herzl’s vision to the UN Partition Plan. Yet none of that ever seems to matter once you disagree with the dominant narrative. The moment you question, you’re labeled ignorant or complicit. What began as a humanitarian concern has become a moral purity test, a political loyalty check disguised as “education.” And when calls to “educate yourself” become tools of control, the classroom starts to look more like a cult. This video isn’t about taking sides. It’s about reclaiming the right to think freely, to refuse being guilt-tripped into conformity, and to defend the integrity of real education. You don’t need to be shouted into awareness. You don’t need to agree with everyone around you. And most of all, you don’t need anyone to tell you what to believe.
