Is it worth visiting small towns in Europe? In this Transylvania Travel Vlog, we are visiting Oradea! This is day 7 of our Transylvania Travel Vlog 2022 Series. Oradea enjoys a high standard of living relative to other Romanian cities and ranks among the most livable cities in the country. Oradea is also a strong regional industrial center, hosting some of Romania's largest companies. Besides its status as an economic hub, Oradea boasts a rich Art Nouveau architectural heritage and is a member of the Réseau Art Nouveau Network and the Art Nouveau European Route. Today we’ll show you how to tour Europe on a budget. In Oradea, we visited the Cathedral Basilica of St. Mary and then headed to the museum right next door, afterwards we spent time admiring all the beautiful Art Nouveau around the city. We finished up our day hiking to the top of a hill where we were able to see great views overlooking the city of Oradea! Traveling Transylvania in 2022, there is so much to offer. A local recommended we try a local restaurant. The food from Hanul cu Noroc was fantastic and very affordable! The food in the Balkans and Romania is very affordable. We each ordered our own dish, had a beer and our entire meal at Hanul cu Noroc cost a total of $16, which makes Transylvania and all of Romania a great option if you are traveling Europe on a budget. If you have time and want an adventure we highly recommend checking out Oradea. Oradea is lovely and it’s a great value for money in Europe in 2022!
