Welcome to my review of SHFiguarts Acrobatter [アクロバッター] from Kamen Rider BLACK RX [仮面ライダーBLACK RX]! When Kotaro was reborn as Kamen Rider BLACK RX, Battle Hopper was reborn as Acrobatter! As the spiritual succesor to Battle Hopper, Acrobatter sports an even cooler/clashing paint scheme as well as a new face. Acrobatter comes with a wheel stand and adapter piece for one of those Tamashii stands that I refuse to buy (seriously--Bandai must be making a killing selling those damn things at an outrageous mark-up). Acrobatter has always been one of my favorite Kamen Rider bikes of all time, so I was excited to get a new version of him to go along with the Renewal RX Figuart. Much like SHFiguarts Battle Hopper, Acrobatter received some slight modifications for it's reissue. The most annoying of which are the antennae. Why the hell do they curl forward? It isn't just mine because doing a Image Search seems to indicate that this is a common problem among Acrobatters. Once again, the eyes could have been done up a bit better to match the quality of renewal RX's eyes. Also, and I'm not sure if I brought this up with the BLACK bikes, but they really could've gone the extra mile and added the SUZUKI logo on it as it's depicted in the show. I can't imagine this would have cost Bandai much to license the name. This is supposed to be their line of end-all super realistic Figures, right? Overall, this is a pretty solid release. I don't know if I can recommend Battle Hopper or Acrobatter more than the other. It certainly boils down to personal preference. Then again, you could just be like me and get both of them. Much like how RX has his Roborider [ロボライダー] and Biorider [バイオライダー] forms, Acrobatter has Roboizer [ロボイザー] and Mach Jabber [マックジャバー].
