This electronic band was formed in Wirrel, England in 1978 by singer and bass guitarrist Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys (keyboard, vocals). Other members included Martin Cooper (since 1981 - keyboard & wind instruments) and Malcolm Homes (drummer 1980-1990 & 2006-2014). They are sometimes called the 'Lennon-McCartney of synthpop' because they made that music genre very popular in the early 80s. As of today they have sold over 40 million records worldwide.
