Hi friends, Today I want to share one of my favorite Japanese food, it it 'Chikuzenni' ( vegetables simmered in soy sauce), I usually include konyaku in this dish but for this video, I didn't put it. Ingriedients: for seasonings- 4 tablespoons of brown sugar 50 ml of soy sauce + 2 tablespoons to add later 25 ml of mirin 25 ml of sake 400 ml of shiitake broth ( from the soaked shiitake) 1 sachet of dashi powder Vegetables- 5-7 pieces of Taro imo or gabi in Tagalog 200 grams of lotus root or renkon in Japanese about 20 grams of hoshi shiitake or dried shiitake 1 carrot 2 stick of burdock root 2 pieces of chicken leg cut into bite size And for cooking please follow the video- Tips for making Japanese dish- please watch how I cut the vegetables, the shapes of the vegetables are very important as they can absorb the 'umami' or flavor of the dish. The otoshi buta plays an important role in cooking as well, it can take the scum coming out of the broth, and can help decrease the cooking time as well. Hope you enjoy this dish.
