New Orleans: Strolling To Supper Our Family's Evening Adventure!

Join us on a culinary adventure as we stroll through the vibrant streets of New Orleans, savoring the rich flavors of this gastronomic hub. Our family's evening outing is all about immersing ourselves in the local culture, from trying iconic Cajun specialties like gumbo and poor boy sandwiches to discovering hidden gems in the city's thriving food scene. First dinner in New Orleans and dam it, it was not crawfish season so I had to settle for a I shrimp poor boy instead of Snapper's Seafood Restaurant. We got there around 7:30 and there was a little line outside, so we had to wait a bit, which was well worth it. The food came out in a reasonable time and was hot and fresh. The shrimp was seasoned and deep fried in a light batter with a good mix to allow you to taste the natural flavor of the shrimp. The fries were hot, crunchy, and had a Cajun seasoning on it. The wait staff were friendly. It was a short walk from where we were staying at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel. We walked down Dauphine Street which runs parallel to Bourbon Street. Come hungry and get ready to experience the festive flavors of this culinary capital, where Southern spices and Cajun culture come alive. We were able to take in the New Orleans experiences with the people, sites, and sounds. Let's explore NOLA together and create unforgettable memories on this family food trip!
